Fotografias indiscretas, memórias emudecidas: mulheres comuns em teatros de guerra em Moçambique

Este artigo aborda o papel das mulheres nos teatros da guerra colonial/de libertação em Moçambique, dando a conhecer fatos e agentes políticos que têm sido ativamente produzidos como inexistente pelas abordagens históricas dominantes. Combinando excertos de entrevistas com a análise da força de fotografias, o artigo expõe, à medida do possível, e com o ritmo das cautelas associadas ao desvelar de sentimentos vários (revolta, ódio, inveja, desalento e amor), fragmentos das experiências vividas por mulheres que conheceram a guerra na primeira pessoa. Estas memórias, de mulheres comuns, contribuem para subverter ausências, transformando-as em sujeitos ativos da história.
This article addresses the role of women in during the colonial/liberation war in Mozambique, exposing actions and political agents that have been actively produced as non-existent by dominant historical approaches. Combining excerpts from interviews with the analysis of the power of photographs, the article debates, as deep as possible, and with the cautions measures associated with unveiling various feelings (revolt, hate, envy, discouragement and love), fragments of the experiences lived by women who knew war in the first person. These memories, of ordinary women, contribute to subvert absences, transforming them into active subjects of history.
