Show Utópico tells the story of a concert born of the will to combine languages and reasons that usually go astray. The hours before the premiere were met with rehearsals and reflections on the relationship between science, art and social transformation. What lies behind a stage that defies the boundaries between popular culture and erudite culture, the narratives of the university and the street, the expressions of the periphery and the centre? The show is driven by the utopias of the horizontality and complementarity of knowledges, of equality in difference, of the transformation of power relations into shared authority relations. Alice in the city: social sciences, rap and more”, was a fundamental moment of the project ALICE – Strange Mirrors, Unsuspected Lessons: Leading Europe to a new way of sharing the world experiences of the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra and an innovative event that crossed over the traditional structure of a scientific presentation.
