Territórios que gritam | Outras economias, outras linguagens, outros saberes do interior centro de Portugal A tragédia trazida pelos incêndios este verão em Portugal revela, acima de tudo um país em que a falta de coesão territorial e económica é estrutural; onde os desequilíbrios e as faltas, de todos os tipos, perpassam a vida de quem ainda vive e deseja permanecer nesses territórios. Apesar de abandonados e tornados irrelevantes por políticas incapazes de os entender e de os valorizar, neles se continuam a produzir conhecimentos, saberes, economias, formas próprias de falar de si e de se compreender. É um Sul no Norte que continua a resistir de muitas maneiras e que grita, ainda que a maioria de nós não seja capaz de o ouvir. Tendo como ponto de partida a premissa das Epistemologias do Sul que diz que não faltam alternativas no mundo; o que falta é um pensamento alternativo de alternativas, nesta oficina queremos fazer duas coisas. Por um lado, ouvir alguns dos gritos destes territórios colocando em diálogo diferentes saberes, quer académicos quer os forjados nas lutas locais por dignidade e reconhecimento. Por outro lado, queremos fazê-lo numa roda de conversa onde diferentes palavras, gestos, imagens, em outras linguagens se possam constituir. _________________________________________________________________ Territories that cry | Other economies, other languages, other knowledges of central inland Portugal The overwhelming tragedy brought by the fires this summer in Portugal reveals, above all, a country in which the lack of territorial and economic cohesion is structural; where imbalances and faults, of all kinds, permeate the lives of those who still live and wish to remain in those territories. Although abandoned and made irrelevant by policies incapable of understanding and valuing them, they continue to produce knowledges, wisdoms, economies, unique ways of speaking about themselves and understanding themselves. It is a South in the North that continues to resist in many ways and that cries out, even though most of us are unable to hear it. In the light of the premise of the Epistemologies of the South that states that alternatives are not lacking in the world; what is indeed missing is an alternative thinking of alternatives, the objective of this workshop is twofold. On the one hand, it intends to listen to some of the outcries of these territories by putting into dialogue different knowledges, be them academic, be those forged in local struggles for dignity and recognition. On the other hand, the workshop will be conducted in a conversation circle where different words, gestures, images, can be constituted in other languages.
