Topic: Seven threats and seven challenges
In the view of Boaventura de Sousa Santos there are seven major threats facing the popular classes around the world. They take different forms in different regions and have different intensities. The seven threats are the disorganization of the state, the deconsolidation of democracy, the destruction of nature, the devaluation of labour, the marketization of knowledge, the criminalization of dissidence and the re-colonization of differences.
