On October 29th, the philosopher Marilena Chauí will award the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Emeritus Professor – University of Coimbra (UC | Portugal), granted by the University of Brasília (UnB | Brazil). The title is awarded for Santos’ outstanding contributions in the fields of epistemology, democracy, social justice and for his reflections about the role of universities for life in society.
